Instructions

    • 1

      See a doctor. In cases of moderate to severe eczema, a doctor or dermatologist needs to prescribe a corticosteroid cream. This cream can only be obtained with a doctor's prescription.

      Follow the doctor's instructions. Different cases of eczema will be treated in different ways. The doctor's instructions should be followed closely for the use of a corticosteroid cream.

      Apply a thin film. Corticosteroids are applied to the affected areas of the skin in a thin area. Make sure to rub the cream in all the way.

      Reapply as directed. Depending on the case of eczema being treated the corticosteroid cream will need to be reapplied 1 to 2 times per day.

      Wash hands. After applying the corticosteroid cream to affected area, wash hands thoroughly.
