Dreams can be clues to your subconscious state. Interpreting your dreams can help you solve personal issues that may be affecting you during your waking hours. Is a horse always a horse? Is an empty house a reflection of the problems you face in your home life? Finding out the answers to these questions used to involve a lenghty session with a dream interpretation specialist or psychologist, but now, thanks to the resources on the Internet, you can interpret common symbols with just a few clicks of your mouse. Here's how to get started.

    Start by keeping a journal of your dreams and recognizing important symbols. Jot down a few items you want to investigate, then go online.

    Log onto the Dreammoods website. This dream symbol dictionary makes it easy to look up blatant symbols or items in your dreams and provides easy interpretations. For example, let's say you are eating macaroni in your dream. According to dreammoods.com this means that you may be experiences small losses. Interesting.

  3. Step 3

    Dreamhawk is another easy keyword search engine that allows you to look at your dreams and define specific symbols. For instance, here you'll find that dreaming of a tomato denotes passion.

  4. Step 4

    Go to MyDreamVisions if you need a little more in-depth information. You will find the more common dream dictionary here, but also an interesting dream analyzer tool that lets you input your dream, click a button, and end up with an interesting interpretation. You'll also find a lot of dream-related resources and if your dream is simply too complex, you can pay to have it analyzed for you.

  5. Step 5

    Finally check out Dreamsleep for dream analysis and many articles on what dreams mean and how to interpret them at a deeper level. This site also promotes a dream meaning book, but there is plenty of free information for you here to help you explore what your subconscious mind may be trying to tell you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Go to several sources and collect information on each symbol so that you can get a fuller picture of what your dream might mean and better interpret it.
  • Don't focus on just one dream but collect a weeks worth of images and symbols to get a bigger picture of what your psychic may be trying to tell you.
