Eczema can be treated a number of ways, many of which are natural treatments. Experiment with treating your eczema with kelp.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Kelp supplement
  • Kelp bath treatments
  1. Step 1

Take one kelp supplement a day with food, which will help lower acid levels inside the body. Less acidity can mean less potent eczema flare-ups. You can purchase a kelp supplement in a health food store.

  2. Step 2

Soak as needed in a bath with kelp. Soaking in kelp helps to heal the skin. Kelp bath treatments can be purchased in a health food or beauty store.

  3. Step 3

Consult with your doctor before you take a kelp supplement, especially if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Kelp contains iodine. Also, avoid too many other foods containing iodine while taking kelp. Some foods that contain iodine include: margarine, egg yolks, dried fruit, some canned vegetables, chocolate and molasses.
