Tying a balloon may sound like a simple task, but it can get complicated if it’s not done correctly. The balloon could go flying across the room or, worse yet, pop and scare all the kids at the party. You can tie a balloon as expertly as any circus clown with some simple steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Balloon
  • Patience
Step1
Inflate the balloon to about 95 percent capacity, leaving some slack.
Step2
Putting one palm over the inflated part of the balloon, grasp the nozzle with your other fist and twist it.
Step3
Release your palm from the balloon and use that hand to grab the balloon’s nozzle.
Step4
Wrap the nozzle around the finger on the hand that is still grasping the part of the balloon you just twisted and loop the nozzle through to form a knot.
Step5
Pull tight to secure and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

  • Once the balloon is tied, adorn the tied end with some colorful ribbon.
  • Drawing funny faces on a balloon with a permanent marker enhances the balloon’s fun.
