Keeping your child safe at an indoor water park can be tricky. These tips will help you both have a fun, safe time.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, be honest about your child's limitations. If he is a weak swimmer, have him wear arm flotation devices or a life jacket. Some indoor water parks, such as The Great Wolf Lodge, offer life jackets for free to their customers, so don't be afraid to ask.

  2. Step 2

Just because a lifeguard is on duty doesn't mean that you shouldn't be on duty. Keep a wary eye on your child at all times.

  3. Step 3

Set boundaries for your child. For example, if your child is a weak swimmer, tell her where she is allowed to play, such as the shallow end of the adult pool or the wading pool.

  4. Step 4

Finally, obey the posted signs. If a sign says that your child is too small or too big for a ride or slide then don't let your child go ahead and do it anyway. Those signs are posted for safety reasons.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your child has plenty of non-carbonated drinks. They can still get dehydrated even though they are inside.
