All-in-one vacations are a great choice for parents who want to have the simplest vacation possible. They wrap many different things into one place so that you don't have anything to worry about. For example, the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas, has an indoor water park, hotel rooms, five restaurants, a Starbucks, music programs for the kids, craft, and an arcade all under one roof. We never had to go anywhere besides the Lodge for all of our needs. These types of getaways are popping up all over the country. Here's how to find one that suits your family's needs and budget.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep in mind that a good start would be to decide what type of vacation you and your family want. Decide if you want an amusement park experience, a golf vacation or a beach vacation. There are many all-in-one type resorts that specialize in certain types of vacations.

  2. Step 2

Look for packages that have a good selection of restaurants and entertainment all in one area so that you won't have to stray far from your room to have a good time. A good example, as mentioned above, would be the Great Wolf Lodge for water park fun all year-long. They have locations all over the United States. Another good example would be a Disney resort. No matter which Disney resort you pick, there are all-in-one packages that cover hotel costs, amusement park rides, and more. If you love golf, Club Med Sandpiper has a great children’s program and packages that include an 18-hole course.

  3. Step 3

Keep an eye out for great prices that works for your family's budget and lifestyle. The most expensive and busiest times of the year will be around holidays and high volume vacation times.

  4. Step 4

At last, book your vacation. Usually you will find that it is easier to book online at the resort’s website than contacting an agent.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't be afraid to email the resort with questions. Most will be happy to answer them.
