Menopause is something many women contemplate with mixed emotions. While many look forward to the end of monthly periods, most women do not welcome the symptoms that come with menopause, such as hot flashes, insomnia and muscle aches. These steps will help you find relief from menopause symptoms.

  1. Step 1

    Journal whatever you eat or drink. This will help you pinpoint triggers, which might include caffeine, nicotine, alcohol or spicy foods. By cutting down on or eliminating these triggers, you can reduce symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats.

  2. Step 2

    If you suffer from hot flashes and night sweats, dress in layers that can be removed if needed. Wear clothing made from breathable or wicking fabric, and consider sheets made from a polyester/cotton blend that will wick moisture away from your body.

  3. Step 3

    Exercise will combat menopause symptoms such as insomnia and fatigue. Try and exercise early in the day. If you work out close to bedtime, you might have a harder time falling asleep.

  4. Step 4

    Try acupuncture and massage for menopause symptoms such as join and muscle aches, mood swings and fatigue.
