Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty cereal bags
  1. Step 1

Cut cereal box liner bags and place them between preformed hamburger patties or other pieces of meat prior to freezing them.

  2. Step 2

Use cereal bags to grease a pan when baking, press down gooey marshmallow treats with a greased cereal bag, or place homemade chocolate candies on them to cool off.

  3. Step 3

Cereal bags make terrific wrappers for homemade breads, lunchmeat, or cut up veggies.

  4. Step 4

Cereal bags make perfect covers for plates. Slip a dish of food inside of one before placing in the microwave to contain splattering. Slide one over a plate of leftovers before setting in the fridge or sending home with a guest. Insert your homemade pie or brownies, pan and all, into one to keep them fresh and moist.

  5. Step 5

Cereal bags are pretty sturdy. Place meat that needs to be tenderized or nuts, crackers, or cookies that need to be crushed inside a cereal bag and pound away.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have stored meat inside a cereal bag, do not reuse the bag. Throw it away, as it can contaminate other food it comes into contact with.
