Instructions

      Take the N, R, W, Q, 1, 2, 3, 7 or Shuttle train to Times Square/42nd Street.

      Exiting out of the Times Square. station can be quite confusing, but aim for an exit on Seventh Avenue. If you can't find one, any exit will do.

      As soon as you are on Seventh Avenue (which is between Eighth Avenue and Broadway) walk to 40th Street.

      Take a right on the south (far) side of the street onto 40th Street. Most likely you will have already seen the large Midtown Comic's sign featuring Spider-Man.

      Continue walking for about 15 feet until you reach 200 W. 40th Street.

      There will be stairs to your left which will lead you up to Midtown Comics on the second floor.

      Just one wall of comics

      The mainstream single issues will be on the right wall as you enter, and the alternative press are on the left wall. Collections and books are in the middle shelves. Start browsing, or ask a Midtown Comic's employee for help finding anything.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure to hit the back issue floor for no other reason then to be amazed at it's sheer size.

  • Don't be intimidated.

    A friend introduced me to Midtown; he buys all of the superhero books there. I only get the independent stuff (not into muscles'n spandex, thank you!), and was pleasantly surprised to see a great selection of alternative comics and graphic novels!
