If you go to a school that does not allow makeup, yet you still feel naked and uncomfortable without it, there are some things you can do put on makeup subtly or to find substitutes that will make you feel more comfortable. Here are some tips for wearing makeup in a school that doesn’t allow it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vaseline
  •
Moisturizer
  •
Clear mascara gel
  •
Clear eyebrow gel
  •
Lipgloss
  •
Q-tips
  •
Powder foundation (optional)
  •
Makeup brush (optional)

    No Makeup Option

  1. Step 1

Instead of wearing makeup foundation, you can give yourself regular facials to fight acne and help make your skin shine. For additional shine and softness, wear a good foundation with sunscreen.

  2. Step 2

To highlight your facial features use Vaseline. With Q-tips apply a thin coating of Vaseline on your eye lid and on your brow bone right below your eyebrow. With your finger, you can also put a tiny bit of Vaseline on your cheek bones being sure to blend it in well with into your skin so it does not stand out. Pinch your cheeks to make them a little redder.

  3. Step 3

Use clear mascara gel with vitamin E to keep your eyelashes healthy and long. It will also make them shine. Use eyebrow gel (found with clear eyelash gel in stores) and use it to groom your eyebrows into the shape you find most appealing.

  4. Step 4

Add lip gloss or Vaseline to your lips as the finishing touch. If you want your lips to have a little more color, apply Vick Vapor Rub to your lips. It tingles a bit but makes them naturally red.

  5. Subtle Makeup Option

Purchase a foundation powder that closely matches the color of your skin. Avoid liquid as it will rub off on your clothes and reveal that you are wearing makeup. Lightly apply powder makeup with a makeup brush using just enough to cover dark spots and acne scars. Blend makeup well being sure to not leave a tell-tale line of makeup at the jaw.

  7. Step 2

Avoid using blush as people will easily be able to tell you are wearing it. If you want some color on your cheeks, purchase a second powder foundation a shade darker or brighter than your foundation and brush that very lightly on your cheeks and across your forehead.

  8. Step 3

Do not use mascara as it can flake and people will be able to tell you are wearing it. Use clear mascara instead and groom your eyebrows with clear eyebrow gel (in container similar to clear mascara).

  9. Step 4

For your lips, use a light flavored lip-gloss or colored Chap Stick as there should be no restrictions against it.

Tips & Warnings
  • If there are rules strictly forbidding makeup, it might be wiser to use the first option.
  •
For rules forbidding bold makeup, the second option is fine, plus you may be able to get away with mascara.
