Keeping normal skin beautiful isn't about special creams and lotions. It's about religiously using a daily skin care regimen. Read on to learn how to create a skin care regimen for normal skin.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

 • A light facial lotion
 •
A gentle cleanser
 •
Sun block
 •
A weekly scrub

Step1
The first step in your facial care routine should be cleansing. Always wash your face when you get up in the morning and before you go to bed at night. Use a cleanser that is for normal skin types, rinse well, and pat your face dry when you are done.
Step2
Next, use a light facial lotion after every wash. Even with normal skin you moisture needs can vary. Here is a test to see if a lotion is too light or too heavy: Put the lotion on and wait five minutes. If your skin feels tight, then the lotion is not giving you enough moisture. If your skin feels greasy or like the lotion didn't sink in, then it is too heavy and you should go for a lighter lotion.
Step3
Understand that sun block is a very important part of any skin regimen. No matter how great your skin is and no matter how perfect your genes, you can still get wrinkles and melanoma from exposing your skin to the sun. If you really need that sun kissed look, try a good moisturizer with tint in it, like Jergens Natural Glow.
Step4
Your last step to your skin regimen is to use an exfoliating scrub once a week. You can make this in your own kitchen by mixing a little brown sugar with some honey until you have a paste. Simply rub the paste on your face and let it sit for five minutes. Wash off the scrub with warm water and pat your face dry. The scrub gets rid of any dead skin and cleans out your pores.

Tips & Warnings

 • Wear sunglasses with a UV rays reflecting tint to protect the delicate skin around your eyes.
 • Do not go to sleep with makeup on. At night, your face needs to breathe, and it can't when it is covered in makeup.
