Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Multi-colored round ornaments
-
Ribbon in coordinating colors
-
Thumb tacks
-
Small glass vases
Step1
Pick the colors. Not everyone celebrates Christmas, so when choosing ornaments for the display, consider picking colors other than red and green. Black and white look great together and so do purple and blue. Ornaments in various colors can be found at almost any store that sells decorations around Christmas.
Step2
The ornaments will be hanging from the ceiling so make sure you find a place where you can tack the ornaments and they won't hit someone in the head. Pick a lobby or place where people usually sit instead of a well-traveled location with lots of standing or walking.
Step3
Cut the ribbon in various lengths from about one foot to two feet long depending on the space and ceiling height. Thread the ribbon through the top of the ornament and tie a strong knot so they don't fall off. Save 5 ornaments to use later.
Step4
Tack the ornaments to the ceiling using the tail end of the ribbon. It looks great to vary the colors and lengths of ribbon and ornaments.
Step5
Take the extra ornaments and use them for the final half of the display. Place them in the glass vases and place on tables or desks in the room for an festive pop of color.
