In this experiment you will use "diaper dust". Sounds gross but it's not. Great experiment that kids will enjoy!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Diaper dust (will explain how to get it)
  • Large measuring spoon
  • Ziplock bag
  • Water
  • Scissors
  • Diaper
  • Another ziplock bag
  1. Step 1

First, cut a real baby diaper (unused of course) into strips and put the strips into a bag. Shake the bag until all the white powder falls to the bottom of the bag. This is your diaper dust.

  2. Step 2

Put one large measuring spoonful of diaper dust into the resealable plastic bag.

  3. Step 3

Add water to the bag, just a little bit at a time. Every time you add more water, squeeze the bag to mix the stuff inside.

  4. Step 4

Keep adding water and squeezing until you feel your slime is perfect! You will be amazed at the amount of water that you can add!! When you're done, grab a handful and give it a good squish!

Tips & Warnings
  • The diaper dust granules are made of a plymer that can absorb up to 30 times its own weight in water! Amazing!
  • This can be a very messy project!
