As the weather gets warmer, many people spend more time outdoors, making meals on the grill. You probably have a cache of favorite recipes for the grill: ribs, burgers, or corn on the cob. But did you know you can make dessert on the grill, too? Here is a recipe for a different kind of banana split. These decadent desserts are created on the grill!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 large, unpeeled bananas
  •
2 6 oz. pkgs. semisweet chocolate chips
  •
1 10.5 oz. pkg. miniature marshmallows
  1. Step 1

Cut the stem off each banana. Leave the peel on.

  2. Step 2

Cut a slit into the peel starting about a half inch from the top and leaving the same amount uncut at the other end.

  3. Step 3

Slice the banana into coin-size slices through the slit in the peel.

  4. Step 4

Spray six strips of aluminum foil about the size of each banana with non-stick spray. Place one banana on each strip.

  5. Step 5

Divide the marshmallows and chocolate chips into six equal portions. Stuff one portion of each into the slits in each banana.

  6. Step 6

Wrap the foil strips around the bananas tightly. Grill for approximately five minutes. The chocolate and marshmallow should be melted.

  7. Step 7

Peel the banana open and eat the dessert with a spoon.
