How to make Slippery Sludge

A good slimy experiment for kids and parents to do together!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • measuring cup
  • cornstarch
  • ziplock bag
  • dropper
  • water
  • blue food coloring
  • corn syrup
  1. Step 1

    Pour 1/2 cup of cornstarch into the plastic bag.

  2. Step 2

    Add 1/4 cup of corn syrup, a dropperful of water and several drops of blue food coloring.

  3. Step 3

    Seal the bag and mix the ingredients by kneading the bag. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more corn syrup. If it's too wet, add a little more cornstarch.

  4. Step 4

    Reach in and grab a sticky handful!!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • This can be a messy project if you aren't careful!

on 5/19/2008 We are going to do this today. You dont mention corn syrup in the 'what you will need ' section. We have some in the house but others may get started and then find that out. Just a tip. Looks like good fun!
