Guacamole makes a perfect dip with tortilla chips at a party, as an appetizer, or as part of a "fajita night" served inside fajitas and paired with margaritas. It's a quick dip to make and perfect for entertaining unexpected guests.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5 ripe avocados
  •
1/2 red onion
  •
1 jalapeño (optional)

  •
2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  •
1 teaspoon salt
  •
1/8 tsp. black pepper
  1. Step 1

Cut the avocado in half and scoop the flesh out of avocados. Cut them into 1/2-inch pieces.

  2. Step 2

Chop the onion, jalepeno, and cilantro.

  3. Step 3

Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl, leaving the avocado as chunky or smooth as you prefer.

  4. Step 4

Serve with tortilla chips or dollop onto tacos, fajitas or other foods.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avocados turn brown when exposed to air for more than 2 hours. Cover tightly to store so no air touches the guacamole.
