Adding a new folder to your Yahoo! Mail account can be the easiest thing you do online. At times, Yahoo! Email will probably do an upgrade of sorts to make your email experience easier. Adding folders to store emails that pertain to certain topics can help you organize messages and also enhance your email experience.<br><br>Here's how easy it is to create a new folder in your email account.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer

  • <br>Yahoo! Mail account
  1. Step 1
    Yahoo! Mail main page.

    Log into your Yahoo! Mail account. When you turn on your computer, click on your Internet Service Provider icon. This is usually found on your computer desktop. Now, direct your Internet browser of choice to call up your Yahoo! Mail. You might consider making Yahoo! Mail your homepage.

    Click on the "Add" button. Under the "My Folders" section, you will see the "Add" button. Once you have clicked on the "Add" button, a new folder will be opened at the bottom of the folder column.

    Click on the "New folder" at the bottom of the folder column. You should now rename this folder in your email account. This can be any name you want it to be. In the image to the left, I named my folder "Dr Stan Monteith."

    Add emails to the new folder. When you get new emails containing information relevant to the new folder name, select the email and click on the "Move" drop-down button at the top of your in-box. Select the new folder name to move that email to the folder.

    Finally, whenever you need to create a new folder, this is how it is done. This is very simple to do and once you create one, you will want to create more for the fun of it

  • The more folders your create, the more organized your email will be.
