The modern witch is not a cauldron stirring hag, but a contemporary individual who believes that the elements of life can be communicated with for the betterment of life. Like many psychics today, Wicca participants are often hiding their beliefs for fear of being judged and misunderstood. Finding like-minded people to connect with and spend time with is vital, so if you are looking to join a Wiccan group, the Internet makes it easy. Here's how to get started.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet connection
  1. Step 1

Start with the popular Meetup website. They have a comprehensive list by city or state that reveals many Wiccan groups around the country. Join the largest group in Kansas city, or a newer group in South Texas. (See link below in Resources.)

  2. Step 2

Go to the Blackfire Wiccan Study group to learn more about Wicca and meet people in their chat rooms or message boards. This is a great place to advance your knowledge and make some new friends (see Resources below).

  3. Step 3

Go to the Witches League for Public Awareness and click on their "links" page to see many Internet based Wiccan groups and community organizations (see Resources below). The site also has some helpful information on Witchcraft and spends some time discussing pagan holidays and rituals.

Tips & Warnings
  • Maintain your privacy until you get to know some of the people in these groups. You can meet some very nice individuals, but remember, they are still strangers until you get to know them better.
  • <br>Also consider checking out Myspace or Facebook and typing in Wiccan or Witchcraft in the search area under "interests." Be careful and slow to get to know people you meet here, as not everyone is on the up and up, but you can make connections with some great people who share your special beliefs.
