1
Drink up! Water is known for improving the condition of your skin by flushing out toxins. While everyone should drink at least 64 ounces of water every day, rosacea sufferers should up that to 80 – 100 ounces each day. Ice water will help even more, since it cools the body and reduces flushing of the face.

2
Relax. Stress is known to causing flushing, which may bring on a rosacea outbreak. Find healthy ways to deal with stress and anger, such as exercise, talking to a caring friend, or guided imagery.

3
Don’t get over stimulated. Avoid caffeine, nicotine and excessive sugar as much as possible. These stimulants cause blood vessels to dilate, which can cause rosacea symptoms. They bring your heart rate up, which can cause flushing as well.
-
4
Don’t go to extremes. Excessively cold weather can bring on a rosacea flare up, as can exposure to the sun. A hot shower, bath, or dip in the Jacuzzi can cause rosacea redness, and so can very cold water.
-
5
Be gentle. When washing your face, go with a cleanser that isn’t harsh. And don’t scrub your skin either, as this can irritate the skin and bring on rosacea flushing.
-
6
See a doctor. Your dermatologist can prescribe medications and creams that may help prevent future rosacea outbreaks.
