How to Choose Snowboard Bindings for Women

Step1
Go to a store that has a reasonably large selection of snowboard bindings for women to look over. It is a good idea to bring your snowboard boots with you so that you can try the bindings out and see how they fit with the gear you normally have on.
Step2
When you select a set of snowboard bindings for women to inspect, give the straps a good tug to make sure that they are well secured to the binding. Also look for any movable or sliding parts and test them to make sure that they function as they should.
Step3
Test the ankle support to make sure it is a comfortable height. This is where having your boots will come in handy. Put on your snowboarding boots and strap yourself in to the bindings. Does the binding put a lot of strain on your calf muscles while standing there? If so, either adjust the height or find bindings with a different height, depending on whether or not that setting is adjustable.
Step4
Think ahead to when you will need to make adjustments to your bindings while snowboarding. Do you want your bindings to have traditional adjustments or adjustments that can be made without tools?
Step5
Consider your budget. Snowboard bindings come in a variety of styles with various amount of "bling", which also means that they come in an array of price ranges. Set a spending budget in advance and make sure you stick to it.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is a good idea to ask about replacement parts for your bindings. Sometimes they are easy to find and other times they are not. It will save you a lot of money in the future if you can just replace worn-out parts rather than replacing the entire binding.
