Looking for a fun and innovative way to share your photos? Try displaying them on beads! Clay beads can be used in jewelry pieces, brandishing your favorite pictures. Did you know that any type of picture or design can be placed onto a clay bead? It's true. You can do it at home with your inkjet printer!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Polymer clay
  • Computer
  • Inkjet printer
  • Inkjet paper
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Cotton ball
  1. Step 1

Using a polymer clay, shape your bead into the shape you would like it to be. The snake method is a great way to cut a bunch of beads into equal sizes. Just work the clay, roll it into a snake and cut slices.

  2. Step 2

Find a photo or design on your computer that you wish to print. From your inkjet printer, print your design or photo. Make sure it is printed to a size comparable to your bead.

  3. Step 3

With scissors, cut the photo from the paper and place on or around your bead.

  4. Step 4

With a cotton ball, dab rubbing alcohol on the back of the printed paper.

  5. Step 5

Gently peel the paper away from the clay. Voila! You have a transferred image. Let the clay air dry for 5 minutes before touching it.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not have rubbing alcohol available, waterless hand cleaner is also an option.
