They are available in the United States as well as other countries as well. They provide online personal internet banking that allows you to have access to your account 24/7.

  1. Step 1

    Log onto HSBC's website to learn more about their online banking choices. Read the descriptions about the different kinds of accounts available.

  2. Step 2

    Decide if you need a free checking account, a basic checking account, or a student checking account. Each account has different variables that will fit the needs of your lifestyle. Click on the account of your choice.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the selection that says, " apply for (your type of account here), checking." Read to see what types of documents that you will need to have present to begin your application. Then click "Start application."

  4. Step 4

    Fill out the online application accordingly. Be sure to have all of your requested documents available. Contact HSBC if you have any questions.

  5. Step 5

    Keep all of your received emails, login information, and checking information in a safe and secure place after you have finished applying. HSBC will mail you information about your checking account and send you the appropriate access information for your checking accounts.
