Chicken Kurma is a famous traditional INDIAN dish very spicy side dish for rice,chapati,roti,idly,biriyani,pulove and for so many main dishes it is a perfect side dish try it once u will agree with me

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Ingredients:
  • Chicken-1 kg
  • small onion-1
  • medium size tomatoes-2
  • celantros-1/2 bunch
  • curry leaves-few
  • garam masala powder-1 tsp
  • red chilli powder-2 tsp or according to your taste.
  • coriander powder-2 tsp
  • turmeric-1 tsp

Step1
Ingrediants For masala paste:

* coconutpowder-4 tbs
* ginger-2'inches
* garlic-2 whole
* onion-1 medium size
* lemon
Step2
Process:

Grind the ingredients given for masala paste.
Step3
Heat oil in a cooker, when it is hot simmer the stove and add garam masala powder.
Step4
Add curry leaves and add sliced onions.
Step5
Fry for a while and add chopped tomatoes. Fry until the tomatoes become soft and add celantros and add the red chilli, turmeric. And coriander powders and fry for 5 sec.
Step6
Now add the masala paste and fry in low flame for 1-2 mins.
Step7
Now add washed chicken and salt and fry for 1-2 mins. Add water according to your desirable cosistency and pressure cook up to 2 whistles.
Step8
After removing the lid, squeeze a half lemon in the kurma.
Step9
Hot hot spicy delicious chicken kurma is ready
enjoy with rice .

on 5/15/2008 I love Indian food I will definately try this recipe. The only ingredient I don't know about is garam masala powder. I will check out the oriental market.
