The beanie is an important piece of snowboarding equipment. This is not so much because it will provide any form of crash protection (because it won't), but because it helps to maintain body warmth and to keep the snowboarder comfortable. A comfortable snowboarder is a happy snowboarder, so here is how to choose a snowboarding beanie.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The style of beanie you wear when snowboarding will depend largely on the weather conditions. Consult the weather forecast before buying a beanie. Obviously, you will want to buy a thin beanie for warm weather conditions and a thick beanie for cold weather conditions.

  2. Step 2

Think about whether or not you will be wearing a helmet while snowboarding. If you do wear a helmet, then a thick beanie may cause the helmet to feel like it fits too tight. Use a thin beanie instead.

  3. Step 3

Consider your personal style. A beanie is just as much about fashion and personal taste as anything else. Choose a beanie that is fun and looks good to you.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is a good idea to have multiple beanies so that you are prepared for any weather conditions.
