How to Measure Honey

Honey is a delicious addition to all sorts of recipes, but adding it is no easy task: honey is often so sticky that some of it will refuse to come out of your measuring cup. A little bit of foresight, however, can circumvent that problem, and ensure a more accurate measurement.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Coat the measuring cup lightly with either oil or nonstick cooking spray. Alternatively, if you are cooking with shortening or oil, add them first, and then use the same cup for the honey.
Step2
Add the honey to the measuring cup.
Step3
Pour the honey from the cup into your mixing bowl or recipe.
Step4
Use a rubber spatula to remove any remaining honey from your cup.
