The most important feature in creating a Voldemort costume is working on his face. This is a distinctive face that millions of people can recognize so you will want to concentrate on that the most. The biggest feature is his bald head. You can either buy a bald cap for the costume or go all out and shave your head bald.
-
2
If you choose to shave your head bald, make sure that you use a razor to get every piece of hair because Voldemort is completely bald and it may not look right if there is a short razor there.

3
Voldemort’s nose may be the hardest concept to pull off. His nose is basically flat, so instead of trying to flatten your nose, you need to make your face come out more so that your nose does not stick out.
-
4
Purchase face putty that can be used for make-up and costumes. You will need a good amount of this to help spread everything evenly. Apply a lot of putty and even it out until nothing is sticking out except for two nostril holes.
-
5
To make the make-up look even, you may have to spread out the putty across your cheeks and over your eyes. The more that the putty is spread out, the more realistic that the face will look.
-
6
The last part of his face is the teeth. Instead of getting regular vampire teeth that may be uncomfortable in your mouth, purchase teeth caps. These are individual caps that go over separate teeth, making it a lot more comfortable and allowing you to customize more with the teeth.
-
7
Apply a dirty look to fingernails by using a little black fingernail polish on the ends. Do not worry about getting the nails painted cleanly, because they should look worn and dirty.
-
8
Using a black stain sheet, construct a large cloak for the costume. The cloak should not be tight and look like it is almost hanging off of the person that is using the costume.
-
9
Finish the costume off with a Wizard’s want. Simply carve a small tree branch to give it a smooth and even look.

This ehow, is ridiculous. You cannot throw together a Voldemort costume in 9 steps and to suggest it is misleading at best. Has the writer here tried to make this costume? and did they follow their own guidelines? I highly doubt it. It seems that this writer has made some crude assumptions on how to carry out this complicated costume and having no experience brushes over large parts of the process with some vague suggestions on 'face putty'. If you are trying to pull of the complex make up of Lord Voldemort please look else where as the above writer has NO idea on where to begin.
