Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water
  • Juice
  1. Step 1

Determine how often you drink soda. If you drink it during every meal, be aware that it will take more effort on your part to stop drinking it.

  2. Step 2

Give away or throw out all of the soda in the refrigerator and pantry. If it is accessible, it will be harder for you to elminate it from your diet.

Replace the times when you usually drink soda with flavored water, plain water or juice. If you decide to use juice as a substitution, purchase 100 percent fruit juice and fill your glass with half juice and half water. 4. Step 4

If you drink soda for the caffeine boost, start taking vitamins or get more sleep instead. Even a balanced diet can help energize you.

  5. Step 5

Keep a list of all the reasons why drinking soda is bad for your health. You may want to lose weight or reduce the amount of preservatives and other unnatural ingredients from going into your body. Eliminating pop from your diet will also make you a good role model for kids.

  6. Step 6

Reward yourself for eliminating soda from your diet. Treat yourself to something you enjoy like a movie or a dinner out with friends. Just remember to order water or tea when eating out.
