Shiny hair is a sign of healthy hair, and everyone wants to have beautiful hair that has a shine resembling the hair salon commercials without spending a fortune on a professional shine treatment. Your hair can be shiny and gorgeous with very little money and a just a small effort. Follow the suggestions below to make your own shine treatments for your hair at home.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make a rinse of beer and tea. This is a great shine treatment for your hair and one of the best ways to make it shiny and lustrous. Use about a half cup of strongly brewed tea and a half can of flat beer to make a rinse for your hair. Boil the tea leaves completely; save them to use one more time before discarding.

  2. Step 2

Use the remaining stale beer as a final conditioner in your shine treatment. Pour it on dry hair, leave it for a minute and then rinse fully. A beer rinse will bring an instant shine to previously dull hair, and it will be smooth and silky to the touch.

  3. Step 3

Massage baking soda into your hair. By rubbing baking soda throughout your hair and into the scalp, it will absorb the oil and also dead skin will be loosened on the scalp. This shine treatment is also suspected to aid in calming dandruff after some weeks of use. Your hair may become dry at first, but after the initial stage is over, your hair will be shiny and without dandruff.

  4. Step 4

Apply apple cider vinegar and water to get an extra shine in your hair. If it is stored in the refrigerator, it could be kept and used once every two or three weeks. The cider rinse will remove dirt and oil and leave your hair silky and smooth. Use ¼ of a cup of apple cider vinegar in a gallon of water, keep it in your hair for a few minutes and be sure to rinse it with cold water.

  5. Step 5

Make an egg shampoo for a shine treatment. Mix together an egg, 1 teaspoon each of olive oil and lemon juice with ½ cup water and 1 tablespoon of castile soap. Optionally, you could add a nice scented essential oil to make your hair smell great too. Using an egg shampoo once a week can extremely restore the health of your hair, leaving it radiant, shiny and healthy looking.
