As the world changes, technology changes and forces us into a world of security at all costs.Since 9-11 an alert system in each and every one of us has awakened and forced us to evaluate our security. You can use your Webcam to spy on people of which you are suspicious.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer or laptop
  • Webcam
  • Modem/router
  • Webcam CD software (included with Webcam)
  • USB Cable (if applicable)

Getting Started

Step1
Purchase a Webcam that is compatible with your computer's operating system. This information should be on the box of your Webcam. Keep in mind that Webcams may range anywhere from $20 to $500 depending on the degree of sophistication.Some leading brands are Logotech, Microsoft, Optia, Apple iSight. If you have a laptop, you might consider using a portable Webcam.
Step2
Upload your driver softwareUpload the driver software that you had purchased with your webcam, once it is uploaded your computer will be able to locate the driver designated for your webcam.
Step3
Upload your encoding software. You may need in download an encoding program such as Webcaster or MediaCaster to transfer your images to a Web page if you are using an integrated camera.
Step4
Find an Internet connection; the hardware you use may include a modem for a dial-up connection or a broadband modem/router. The higher quality you want, the more bandwidth you will need.
Step5
Connect your newly purchased Webcam. Usually this is done via a USB drive that connects to the back or side of your computer.
Step6
Download your Webcam software that will enable you to spy on the individual(s). Some free Webcam software programs are WebCam Spy and Manycam. Others that charge a fee are Webcam 1-2-3, Webcam Max and Webcam AMP. Once you find the software, download it by following the instructions.
Step7
After you have set everything up, you are now ready to use your webcam for spying, Remember to put your Webcam in a place where it can not fall and get damaged.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure your computer has all spyware and special security applications.
  • Be sure that your computer has software to protect it. There is a worm called W32/Rbot-GR that once installed in an infected computer lets hackers see you while you are seeing others. This is called a “Peeping Tom” worm. Protect your computer at all times.
