Graduation is a time to look back on memories, think about the upcoming future and for congratulations on a job well done. It's hard to come up with that perfect graduation gift, but sometimes, just some words from the heart is the best gift of all. Create a poem that tells of the graduate's past, hopes and dreams, and advice to give them for later. A graduation poem will be a gift that he/she can treasure for the rest of their life.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find out when the graduation date of the graduate is. Give yourself enough time to compose this very personalized graduation gift.

  2. Step 2

Talk to the graduate-to-be. Ask him/her what their goals and dreams are. Record some of their thoughts about graduation and their upcoming future.

  3. Step 3

Speak with the graduate's parents or caregivers and speak about their childhood moments. Write down some of the funny and heartfelt memories.

  4. Step 4

Ask the graduate about their favorite moments in schools. What are some of the things that he/she wants to remember or forget? Record this information.

  5. Step 5

Read over all of the research that you gathered from the graduate and his/her family. Compose it to the graduate and even offer a bit of advice to give to them for their pending future too.

  6. Step 6

Type the poem on some colorful paper or designer graduation paper. Keep the font so that it is easy to read and then place it in a frame for gift-giving. Present the poem to the graduate after the ceremony has ended. They can treasure this personal gift for years to come and even use it as a referral for when times get tough after the graduation years.
