How to Highlight the Forehead, Chin, and Nose with Makeup

Applying lighter makeup to certain parts of your face allows those areas to stand out more than other parts. Skillful application of makeup can highlight only those areas you want highlighted, which are usually your most flattering features. A few simple makeup tricks can help make your best parts stand out.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foundation
  • Foundation in a lighter shade
  • Makeup powder
  • Highlighting makeup
  • Makeup brush
  • Mirror
  1. Step 1

    Apply your regular foundation to your face as you normally do.

  2. Step 2

    Apply a lighter shade foundation down the center of your nose.

  3. Step 3

    Blend the foundation in well so that no lines between the different shades are visible.

  4. Step 4

    Apply your regular makeup powder all over your face.

  5. Step 5

    Use a makeup brush to apply a lighter powder or highlighting powder to the center of your forehead and center of your chin.

  6. Step 6

    Blend your powders well.

  7. Step 7

    Look in a mirror to make sure your makeup looks natural.

Tips & Warnings
  • Blend your makeup well. There should be no lines of demarcation on your face.
  • There are makeup powders on the market with mineral properties in them. These tend to have a minimal shiny quality and would work well for highlighting.
