It's no secret that most of us look better with a tan. However, then sun is more powerful than ever these days, and is capable of way more skin damage than in previous years. Here are some simple steps to get that summer glow without the damaging sun rays.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Self tanning lotion
  • Bronzer powder
  • Powder brush
  1. Step 1

Purchase a bottle of self tanning lotion at your local drugstore. Be sure to match the level of tan to the tone of your skin. Apply this evenly every other day to achieve the look of a year-round summer glow. Some of these self tanners are for your face only, and some are for your body only, so you might need to buy two different kinds. They are inexpensive however, and one bottle goes a long way.

  2. Step 2

Consider using a bronzer. Bronzer can be applied to the face with a makeup brush if it's in powder form, or with your finger if it's in liquid form. You can use bronzer alone or in conjunction with a self tanner. Again, be sure to match the bronzer to your skin tone. Many makeup companies make liquid bronzers for men, so keep an eye out for that too!

  3. Step 3

Get sprayed. The spray or airbrush tan is a fairly new invention that really expedites the tanning process. For about $30, you can buy an airbrushed full body tan that holds for about a week. It takes about 1 minute to apply by machine, and is the most effective way to get a sunless, all-over glow.
