Update all of your anti-virus programs and Firewall alerts. Anyone that owns a computer should automatically do this on a regular basis. Hackers and virus writers are always on the lookout for an unprotected computer system. Stealing your important financial data can be done easily if you allow others to access your unprotected space. Accessing Limewire doesn't have to be a hazard to your computer if you follow a strict security routine.

Visit Limewire's website and download the peer to peer application. The basic version is totally free, but if you would rather work with a few more features and have a faster speed choose the Pro version instead. This process should take only a few moments to complete. The new version of Limewire is supposed to contain no spyware or adware in their software. Although this may be the case, you should still take extra measures to secure your computer system and personal file information.
Step3
Perform a daily scan of your computer system after accessing Limewire. This will help you to monitor your computer system better and catch any infected files before they take over your entire computer. Doing this should be a daily requirement in order to keep your personal and financial information safe from prying eyes. Not making the effort to do a regular scan can cause your information to get out and others to steal from you.

Keep your computer system private. Sharing your personal settings with others will almost guarantee an attack on your computer system. Instead of leaving yourself vulnerable to anyone that wants to look at your files, set up a strong Firewall block. Making it easy to access your computer system is like giving hackers and virus writers an open invitation to browse through your information.

Change the organization of your file folders for your computer. Instead of going with the standard default saved ones, consider changing the names of a few. Set up a restricted username on your computer system when accessing the Limewire application. This can be a “Guest” account or just another username. Restrict some of the command access from this username and this will help to protect your computer system even more.
