Golf is the most relaxing stressful game on the planet. The course is beautiful, the setting quiet and serene. So why do so many golf clubs get beat into the ground and flung into trees? To build confidence and play a more consistently good game, practice your putt between games and try these quick tips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Golf Ball
  • Golf Club
  • Putting Green
  1. Step 1

Remember to keep your eyes right over the ball. Your stroke and aim will be more precise.

  2. Step 2

Keep the swing right. Don’t “swing” at the ball. Pull back and drop your arms in one smooth stroke which will produce a nice consistent speed.

  3. Step 3

Train your aim. Here is a trick to help your aim. Tie a string to two spikes, sticking one just past the hole and stretching the string out so it is tight where put it. This string will be a visual guide to the hole and help improve your stroke.

  4. Step 4

Keep beginning practice easy. Until you are very comfortable, practice on a hole that is for the most part flat. Once you have mastered that, start using tougher hole positions. Also, remember to be considerate of other golfers when don’t hold up holes at busy times when practicing.

  5. Step 5

Swing through the putt. Lastly, putt out every ball, regardless of how close it is to the hole and keep track of your putts. When you see the numbers truly decrease your confidence will build and the lower scores will transfer to your game.
