Cleaning the toilet may seem like an easy task, but damaging that toilet can be easier. Following these simple steps will make caring for a toilet a breeze.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Get your supplies. The supplies you will need are rubber gloves or vinyl gloves (the kind you use with dishes), some kind of eye protection, any disinfectant cleaner, a disposable towel, a bowl swab and a spray bottle.

  2. Step 2

Mix the disinfectant cleaner in the spray bottle with some water to dilute.

  3. Step 3

Spray the disinfectant cleaner onto the outside of the bowl. In order to disinfect the bowl, you must let the bowl remain wet for 10 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Lower the water level by turning off the water to the toilet and flushing the toilet.

  5. Step 5

Spray the disinfectant cleaner inside the toilet. You must let the inside of the bowl remain wet for 10 minutes. Using the bowl swab/toilet brush, begin cleaning under the rim and work down the sides of the bowl.
