   Go to a name generator. You can find a large list of these on the web by typing “name generator” into the search box. Two popular generators to try are the Smurf Name Generator and the Mafia/Sopranos Name Generator.

2. 

   Enter your first and last name in the required spaces, then click the submit button. You may wish to try both formal and familiar versions of the name to see if you get different results. For example, if your name is Rod, you may wish to try both Rod and Rodney.

3. 

   Analyze the name that the name generator supplies you to see if it will make a suitable screen name.

Using Make Words

1. 

   Go to the Make Words web site at www.makewords.com

2. 

   Click the “More name ideas” link that is situated in the top right corner of the screen.

3. 

   Under the “Name Generators” column, click the link for Screen Name Generators.

4. 

   On the screen name generator, type three adjectives that will tell the computer a little about yourself.

5. 

   After you have entered your descriptive words, click the button marked “Create More Names.” The system will analyze your chosen words and provide you with a large list of suggested AOL screen names. Surely at least one of them will be available.
