Apply Lower Eyeliner
Apply Lower Eyeliner

Eyeliner can be tricky, depending on the type you use. Applying eyeliner to your lower lid is a lot easier than the upper lid, and this is the best way to do it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eyeliner (pencil only, no liquid)
  • A cotton swab (or fingertip will do)
  1. Step 1

Sharpen the eyeliner and then gently roll it on the back of your hand to warm it slightly.

  2. Step 2

Drag the eye pencil gently and lightly along the bottom lid--under your lashes, not inside the lid itself.

  3. Step 3

Use your fingertip or a cotton swab to lightly smudge the liner so it doesn’t look blunt and harsh.

  4. Step 4

Dip a cotton swab or the eye shadow applicator into whichever eye shadow color you are wearing. With minimal shadow on the swab or applicator, lightly trace over the eyeliner to soften and set it.

Tips & Warnings
  • If your eyeliner looks too heavy, use a clean cotton swab to remove some of the color.
  • If you add too much liner, you can lightly dampen a swab in eye makeup remover and gently remove the bottom eyeliner.
