The tequila shot is unique in that it requires much more participation than your average shot. Doing a proper tequila shot will not only hasten your level of inebriation, the taste of the salt and lime will offset the strong flavor of the tequila.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lime, halved
  • 1 salt shaker
  • 1 shot glass
  • Tequila
  1. Step 1

    Cut the lime in half.

  2. Step 2

Fill a shot glass with tequila.

  3. Step 3

Lick the area of your hand in between your thumb and forefinger and pour salt on this area. Licking will help the salt stick to you. Any other portion of your body may be used, but this area is easiest.

  4. Step 4

Take the shot. Be sure to drink it quickly.

  5. Step 5

Bite the lime and suck out the juice.

  6. Step 6

    Repeat!

Tips & Warnings

  • Tequila contains alcohol so refrain from driving.
