How to throw an awesome hollywood party

Take a trip to Hollywood with your own awesome Hollywood party!

Whether you live down the street from the Hollywood sign or are thousands of miles away, you can throw a Hollywood-themed party that will take you straight to the Tinseltown scene. Tell your friends to get dressed up in their most fabulous garb and prepare to party like a superstar at your Hollywood party!

• Pictures or posters of the Hollywood sign
• Cookies shaped like the Oscar statue
• Walk of Fame stars personalized for each guest
• Cutouts of Glittery stars
• Champagne
• Sparkling Cider
• Champagne Glasses
• Bottled Water
• Red Carpet
• Swag bags with your choice of gifts
• Mix CD

Instructions

1. Send an evite to your friends inviting them to your awesome Hollywood party. Let guests know that they should wear cocktail dresses, blazers and casual suits.

2. Buy champagne, sparkling cider, meat and cheese platters, cookie dough (or make it yourself), vegetable platters, finger food platters and bottled water. To make the Oscar-statue cookies, simply shape the cookie dough that you bought into Oscar statues and bake as directed.

3. Head to a prints/poster store and purchase several pictures or posters of Hollywood monuments (the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kodak Theater, Mann's Chinese Theater, Venice Beach and so forth).

4. Create a swag bag for guests. Swag bags are given to celebrities at LA's hottest event parties. Pick up some gold gift bags and fill them with take-home items for guests. Make a couple of the items Hollywood-related, like Hollywood memorabilia.

5. Set up a paparazzi corner where guests can have their picture taken. As they pose, call out their names as if they are on the red carpet. Say things like "Linda, turn to the left please," "Matt, just one more picture please. Over the shoulder!"

6. Pick up a roll of red felt, red silk or some other type of red fabric from a craft store. Use this fabric to create your red carpet. Lay the felt down at your door and extend it out. Guests should walk on the "red carpet" as they enter your home. While you're at the store, purchase gold, glittery paper. Cut out stars from the paper and post them around your house.

7. Create personal "Walk of Fame" stars for guests. Use the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Generator (see Resources below) to put each guest's name on a Walk of Fame star and print it out. Post them around the party area.

8. As guests arrive, turn up the music and pull out your camera. After they walk along the red carpet, direct them to the paparazzi corner, then to the food and drinks table. Allow guests to mix, mingle and dance. Once the party is over, give each guest a swag bag and their personalized Walk of Fame star as they are leaving.
