Cell phones can perform all kinds of functions these days. Some of the great things about cell phones are file sharing, downloading pictures, and even loading your favorite sounds. If your cell phone accepts text messaging and midi files, then you could download MIDI files to your cell phone to use as some of your ring tones. With just a few simple steps, this process can easily be done.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a website on the Internet where you can download MIDI files. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on downloads, try to find a free one. Use Google to search for "free MIDI files."

  2. Step 2

Download the file of your choice to your computer once you have found one.

  3. Step 3

Open your email client and then upload the MIDI file to a new email. You will need to use the attachment feature in your email to attach it to your outgoing email.

  4. Step 4

Type your cell phone email address in the "to" part of your email address. You cell phone email address will be something like, "your phone number@your cell phone carrier. com. For example, if you have Verizon service, then your email adderss would be your phone number@verizon.com.

  5. Step 5

Push the send button in your email and watch for your incoming text message on your cell phone. It should show up fairly quickly. Then download the attachment to your cell phone. The file should now be playable in your cell.
