Homemade Ouija Board

Ouija boards have long been used to communicate with spirits that have crossed over to the land of the dead. Believed by many to be the work of the devil, devotees of the Ouija board believe that the board helps those who use it tap into the realm of the unknown and find answers.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ouija Board
  • Stylus or other pointing object
  • At least two people
  1. Step 1

Lay the board in front of you, either on a table, the floor or another flat surface.

  2. Step 2

Center the stylus in the middle of the board.

  3. Step 3

Lightly hold the stylus with the tips of your fingers. Use both hands if the stylus is large enough.

  4. Step 4

Attempt to clear your mind of any distractions, and think only of the questions you wish to ask the board. When your mind is clear, ask the board any question you have in your mind.

  5. Step 5

Allow your fingers to follow the stylus wherever it leads to on the board. Pay attention to the numbers and letters that the stylus spells out, as these are the answer to your question.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ouija boards come in many styles and are collected as unique objects of the occult. Occult means only that something is unknown.
  • Pendulum boards are similar to Ouija boards, but use a dangling pendulum above the board to discern answers to questions.
  • An upside down water glass can be used as a pointer if no other stylus is available.
  • Most occultists recommend that at least two people have their fingers on the stylus or pointer for the best results.
  • Many opponents of the Ouija board believe that the board opens a conduit for the dead to enter the dimension of the living and cause problems. The more vocal opponents believe the Ouija board to be pure evil.

on 8/19/2009 they arent evil theyre just things people use to contact dead people. and as long as you have jesus on your side protecting you, you will be perfectly safe. It irritates that people think they are 'of the devil'. im sure satin could use them as objects of his use, but AS LONG AS YOU HAVE GOD YOU'LL BE FINE. plently of people use them to contact theyre old relatives that are likely in heaven and not from satin or hell. The first question to always ask is if they are from jesus or satin.

on 5/14/2008 Spooooky stuff, Kat! Don't forget Linda Blair was talking to "Captain Howdy" on her Ouija board in "The Exorcist". And did you know that Parker Brothers' commercially sold Ouija board was first manufactured in Salem, MA; i.e.: the Witch City?
