How to Raise Twin Teen Daughters

How to Raise Twin Teen Daughters thumbnail
You will wish that it was always this sweet.

Some might think that having twins is just like having two children that are close in age but speaking from experience, it is a bit more complicated than that. It seems a lot simpler before they become teenagers but once they enter their teenage years the challenge begins. Read on to learn how to raise twin teen daughters.

Instructions

    • 1

Allow them to be separate entities. Never refer to them as the "twins." Unless they are identical, expect them to be just as different as two non twin sisters.

    • 2

Expect that they will have different groups of friends that they will hang out with. They will have different needs, interests and schedules.

    • 3

Demand that they are never in the same class because usually one is more boisterous than the other and that will reflect in the classroom. Plus you will find that teachers have an uncanny nerve to always compare them.

    • 4

Allow them to be as separate as they want to be and very often they do not like sharing birthdays. If that is the case consider allowing them to change their birthday, for celebration purposes only, of course. If not then at least allow them their own cakes.

    • 5

Comparing them is never allowed by anyone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some kids, especially teenage girls look at being a twin as a blessing while others think it is a curse. Don't expect them to dress alike or do anything more than regular sisters would do.
