How to Prepare Broccoli and Garlic Pasta

This is a light, tasty meal that only takes about 20 minutes (give or take). One of the ingredients,broccoli,is rich in sulphorophane, a substance that researchers say will boost the effectiveness of cancer-fighting enzymes (The tomatoes and garlic aren't too shabby either; they also offer healthy benefits).

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 8 oz. linguine pasta
  • 2 Tbs. crushed garlic in olive oil
  • 1 pt. cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen broccoli spears, thawed
  • 1/2 tsp. EACH salt and crushed red pepper flakes

Step1
Prepare pasta, following the package directions.
Step2
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the garlic until golden.
Step3
Stir in tomatoes; cook for 5 minutes or until softened.
Step4
Add remaining ingredients; heat through.
Step5
Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid.
Step6
Add pasta and liquid to skillet; toss well to coat. Serves 4.
Eat and enjoy!
