Step1
Take all of your shoes out of the closet. Sort through your shoes and make sure each one has a match.
Step2
Group shoes together by style; dress shoes, high heels, casual, every day, etc. Count how many pair of shoes you have. Figure how many you have room to store in the available closet space.

Purchase inexpensive clear plastic shoe boxes, one box per pair of shoes. These boxes are a great tool to keep your treasured shoes clean, organized and easy to view at the same time. The boxes stack on top of one another which is a great space saver.
Step4
Wipe shoes clean before placing each pair in it's own plastic box. Stack by type of shoe, such as dress shoes, sandals, etc. and group the stacks together on your closet shelf.
Step5
The next time you need your red high heels, grab the appropriate box and you're ready. No more digging through piles of shoes in baskets or looking through piles of shoes on the floor. You're organized...and my even find room for a new pair of shoes!
Tips & Warnings
If you haven't worn a pair of shoes within the last year, think about donating them to charity.
Keep organized by wiping and replacing shoes to their appropriate box every day. Don't put if off or you will end up with a messy pile of shoes without a home.
