I'm not going to say it will be easy... but anyone can do it with a little initiative. I myself smoked for 6 years and am now smoke free. After trying many of the common methods used to quit the habbit, I can honestly write an article on the best, and most widely used methods, and give advice on what helped me.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Initiative
  • Nicotine gum (optional)
  • Motivation/willingness

Step1
First and foremost I would like to share with you my successful method which actually helped me kick the habbit. Basically the cut back " cold turkey" method.
Step2
I realized, I smoke less cigarettes in a day if I push that first cigarette back, maybe until 1 or 2p... that cuts back 5-6 cigarettes in the day right there... After a week of that I quit.. cold turkey.

Gum, and candy helped keep my mind off of it.
Step3
Nocotine gum is always a traditional method, but not for me... I have friends that have been sucessful in the method, though.

Tips & Warnings

  • Smoke less, push that first cigarette back later in the day
  • Chew gum, suck on candy, do things to keep your mind off of the craving.
  • Buy one pack of cigarettes and tell yourself they will last you through the week.
  • You have to have the motivation to quit to be successful.
  • Without the motivation or self control you will not be successful, nor will you ever be successful in kicking that nasty habbit!
