How to setup a Belkin Wireless Router with EMBARQ or CenturyLink 660 Series DSL Modem

This will tell you how to setup a Belkin Wireless Router with Embarq 660 Series DSL Modem.

• Belkin Wireless Router
• EMBARQ Or CenturyLink 660 Series Modem

1. First thing you will want to do is print these steps. You will be offline while configuring your Belkin router to work with EMBARQ DSL 660 Modem.

2. After Hooking up the Embarq Series 660 DSL Modem to the Belkin Wireless Router. Turn off Embarq Series 660 DSL Modem (Its a black box) by hitting the square button in the back on the left hand side.

3. Internet Explorer Icon

   Once the Modem turn off. Double click on Internet Explorer which will be a blue "E" icon on your desktop.

4. Address Bar in Internet Explorer

   Once Internet Explorer has opened. In the address bar type 192.168.2.1 and hit enter.

5. Belkin Menu

   The Belkin Menu will appear. On the left hand side you will see menu. Click on LAN settings under LAN setup.

6. Belkin Password Screen

   It will prompt you for a password. Unless you changed the password just leave the password blank and click on submit.

7. Belkin LAN settings screen

   This will take you to the Belkin LAN settings screen. You see the Ip address field where an IP Address is currently 192.168.2.1. Change the 2 to a 10. So it will say 192.168.10.1

8. IP address Changed

   Next click on Apply Changes Button at the bottom of the page.

9. Close out of Internet Explorer. Then turn off the Belkin Wireless Router and Computer.

10. Turn on the Embarq Series 660 DSL Modem. Wait until you a have light for DSL and Internet. You will not have an ethernet light.

11. Once the light for DSL and Internet are on. Turn on Belkin Wireless Router. You will now have a ethernet light.

12. Internet Explorer

    Then Turn on the PC and you able to browse the internet by clicking on Internet Explorer.
