There's a lot of hype and a lot of misconception when it comes to loose skin and stretch marks. There ARE ways to treat, combat, care for, and even cure these common problems without spending a fortune or going under the knife.
Willingness to incorporate proper and disciplined skin care.
Patience.
Step1
First, you must decide you're ready to do something about your situation and that you're willing to keep a positive attitude about your efforts. Did you ever watch one of those makeover shows that highlight a person whose had tremendous weight loss but was left with that doughy, hanging skin all over their body? That problem is more common than you might think when it comes to both weight loss and childbirth. Many people are faced with having too much skin and nothing to fill it with.
Lets face it, when you lose weight you’re doing it to get healthy – but you want to look good too. And nobody wants to look like a shar pei after doing all that work. And new mothers definitely don’t want to add “saggy skin syndrome” to their list of worries. So what are we to do?
Step2
Remember to keep your body hydrated, lots of water and a diet rich with fruits and veggies will help. Next, begin incorporating these vitamins and nutrients to your diet - protein, vitamins A, C, E, and EFAs (essential fatty acids). All of these components come together to feed the skin and help produce collagen. You skin requires all of these things to be elastic. After you begin nourishing your skin from the inside- it's time to start caring from the outside.
Step3
Next, resolve yourself to the fact that you don't have to buy expensive moisturizers and creams to take care of your skin...you simply need to think about feeding the outside like you feed the inside with vitamins, nutrients, and moisture. Cocoa butter lotion and vitamin E oil are wonderful moisturizers. Not only that, exfoliation is very, very important. Exfoliation stimulates cell turnover and sloughs away old skin. One of my favorite products is the Neutrogena Skin Rejuvenator...it's truly awesome and will leave your skin feeling baby soft. I use it all over. If your stretch marks are deep, try Mederma for scars. This product works wonders when used faithfully. It's not organic, but it is revolutionary.
Step4
Take skin nourishing supplements and moisturize daily, and complete a full exfoliating routine at least every other day. Keep this up for at least 3 to 6 months and you'll see dramatic changes. You will also want to make sure that you're toning the muscle underneath your skin to provide a tighter appearance.
Tips & Warnings
For some people, generally those extreme cases associated with gastic bypass etc., surgery is the only way to get the results they desire, but even if you're one of these people, you should take the 3 to 6 months to prepare as above. Your skin will be as healthy and as tight as possible before your surgery and your recovery will be much faster.
It's not hopeless -you can get the look you want. All you need is the right combination of care and a little patience.

This is quite wonderful advise. I lost over 145 lbs, and I have a lot of loose skin, and I know that surgery is not the only solution. I've been looking for more natural solutions, but have come short. This article is very much appreciated!!!!! Thank you and I will keep you posted on my results!
