Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 bag of dry split peas
  • carrots
  • onion
  • salt and pepper
  • ham
  1. Step 1

    boil your dry split peas (after you sort, and rinse), about 3 regular sized carrots sliced, about a quarter of a cup finely chopped onion, about 1 cup diced ham, and salt and pepper to ones taste.

  2. Step 2

    you boil all the ingredients together for around 40 minutes and thats it!

  3. Step 3

    let cool off for about 20 minutes and enjoy!

on 10/23/2008 It's like 93 degrees here in Cali right now but as soon as the weather permits we're gonna have to give this a try. I love this soup in restaurants but never even considered making it at home. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
