Things You'll Need:
- Kretschmer or other wheat germ
- whole wheat flour
- raisins
- sugar
- baking powder
- whole milk
- salt
- vegetable oil
- egg

Step 1
Place 1 cup of raisins in a large bowl and pour 2 cups of boiling water over them and let sit for 12 minutes, then drain the water off.

Step 2
In a large mixing bowl combine 1 3/4 cup wheat flour, 3/4 cup wheat germ, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt and add in the raisins from step one. In another bowl combine 3 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 1/2 cup whole milk, and 1 beaten egg and pour into the flour mixture in the large mixing bowl. Stir until ingredients are combined but don't over mix.

Step 3
Spoon into Teflon coated muffin tins, leaving some room for the muffin tops to expand in the tin. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 20 minutes or until they are just firm.
