Step 1
In order to synchronize with the season, wear flowered patterned bikinis in blues, reds or possibly greens and pinks. Try to be careful and possibly avoid overly eye-popping prints and colors, such as oranges and some yellows. If you want to stand out, wear a bold pattern of thin strips or small, closely patched polka dots. Bikinis that tie around the neck and back are popular, especially those with bows or ties hanging on the sides of the bottom part of the suit. Super revealing string bikinis are not as in-style as you may think and should not be worn. If your body is slightly out of proportion or differently sized in different areas, you can find different sized bottoms and tops. Make sure your suit covers everything it should without being too loose.

Step 2
The next step for your swimwear ensemble is a tank top. When you are hanging out with friends or strolling around the mall, spaghetti strap tanks tops are very popular. When you get to the pool they may still look good, but they are difficult to remove due to the built-in bra and sometimes can cause embarrassment if they do not come off easily. Normal tank tops that are soft and comfortable as well as being easy to remove and put on are the way to go. They come in many different appealing colors and prints, and create a much more flattering style for poolside fun.

Step 3
Shorts can also be an important part of your pool attire. Many girls wear tight denim or plaid shorts to the pool over their swimsuit bottoms. However, this is neither a good nor attractive style. The shorts look awkward with the bikini top, are difficult to put on and take off, and they are restricting and retain lots of water. Basketball and soccer shorts are comfortable, practical and great for anyone athletic. Whether you are athletic but simply want to be in style, go with Sofees. These shorts are very popular, comfortable, short, dry quickly and are easy to remove.

Step 4
Flip flops and towels are the last two things needed for you swimwear collection. For a towel, go with a large, fluffy cotton material with whatever design you like, though try not to get a white towel or black towel. White gets too dirty and black retains too much heat. For flip flops, anything goes. Rainbows are popular and comfortable, but not waterproof. Name brand flip flops such as American Eagle and Aeropostale are comfortable and practical as well as somewhat waterproof--and they are popular. The only firm rule in flip flops is to stay away from cheap plastic ones. These may be waterproof, but are uncomfortable, get very hot and do not supply any support.
